Former Gucci Designer Alessandra Facchinetti Is To Bring Her New Fashion Brand
Former Gucci designer Alessandra Facchinetti teases the launch of her new fashion brand. She wants to focus on Italian crafts in her new brand. She was associated with other biggies like Tod and Valentino previously.
The designer, however, has yet to share many details about the brand and when it will be launched. She has also maintained secrecy about the name of the specific brand. About the launch of her new brand, she said,
“I’m working on a project and for sure ‘Italiannes’ and Italian craft will be at the center of it. It’s not going to be solely dedicated to fashion, but potentially more [categories].”
About her preparations and focus on the Italian craft for her new brand, the designer added,
“[Embracing] Made in Italy for me was a life decision, a way to think and see things. Today with all that’s going on I think Made in Italy can provide valuable answers… it’s about bringing quality, know-how and artisanship back at the center of the [fashion] conversation.”
The former Gucci designer was already on a path to challenge and reinvent herself. In 2023, she had started her own consulting studio three years earlier.
She also collaborated with Harlan+Holden, a start-up brand from South Korea, working on ready-to-wear men’s and women’s outfits.
In addition, she worked with the Weldon+Kennedy agency to revamp their brand and improve international communication.
Further, she joined hands with David Chipperfield Architects for a new store concept.
Another significant leap came for her last year, as she partnered with Editions Milano, a production and distribution company for high-end furniture. She worked with the brand to launch circle, its new porcelain collection.
She kept her work vivid and versatile by designing costumes for an opera production last year. She said,
“When I decided to reopen my studio, I wanted to express and channel my creativity and vision in different fields, not necessarily only fashion.”
She has recently been a consultant for Indonesian and Philippines-based companies. So, let the anticipation grow before we witness her new brand’s launch.
