The theme that has been chosen for the 2023 MET Gala is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The theme for this years MET Gala was announced during 2022 Paris Fashion Week in September. The theme was chosen as such “in honor of Karl Lagerfeld.”
The Legend in the fashion world, Karl Lagerfeld died in 2019 at the age of 85. He was an icon in the fashion world for his inspirational designs and fashion shows.
In his lifetime he was the creative director of few of the biggest luxury fashion brands like Fendi, Chloe, Channel and also his own brand.
This year the MET Gala is going to honor him. So we can expect to see many of his close friends and acquaintances walking the stairs of the MET, to honor his legacy.
The Metropolitan Museum said, The exhibition will offer visitors a rare insight into Karl’s unique working methodology, featuring approximately 150 pieces, along with sketches that underscores his complex creative process and the collaborative relationships with his premieres or head mistresses.”
Where Can I Watch The Met Gala 2023?
Since the MET Gala is not a televised event, and not all of us are invited, it can be hard to see all the glitz and glamour of the event.
